France faces Hungary on Saturday on the second day of Group F of Euro 2020. The opponent apparently the weakest in the group, but who will have ambitions in his stadium in Budapest to recover after his defeat against Portugal .

Europe 1 draws up the technical sheet of the surprising Hungarian team.

The confirmation match for the Blues.

After its solid 1-0 victory against Germany on Tuesday, France will play against Hungary on Saturday at 3 pm to keep all its chances of finishing at the top of the standings in a very tough Group F of Euro 2020. A match that appears within reach against the smallest nation in this pool, but Hungary, present for the fourth Euro in its history, could pose more problems than expected in front of its thousands of supporters.

The Magyars will give everything to keep a tiny hope of qualifying, after their defeat Tuesday against Portugal (0-3).

List of the 26 players from Hungary:

The state of form: revengeful Hungarians

Very close to bringing down Portugal on Tuesday in front of its many supporters in Budapest, Hungary finally cracked in the last moments of its entry into the running for Euro 2020 by conceding three goals.

In a stadium filled to 100% of its capacity - the only one in the competition - the Magyars will want to bounce back once again at home against the France team on Saturday.

Hungary's achievements:

World Cup finalist (1938, 1954)

Euro semi-finalist (1964, 1972)

3 Olympic Games (1952, 1964 and 1968)

FIFA Ranking: 37th

The Hungarians had remained unbeaten since September 2020, and this start to the tournament seriously complicates their chances of qualifying in a tough Group F.

The men of coach Marco Rossi will therefore be revenge against the Blues.

Probable 11:

Gulacsi - Botka, Orban, At. Szalai - Lovrencsics, Kleinheisler, A. Nagy, Schafer, Fiola - Ad. Szalai, Sallai

Typical team: a regrouped defensive block

This selection includes many players from the Bundesliga and the Hungarian league.

It offers a defensive block grouped together with three central defenders.

The Magyars also take advantage of the possibilities to counter the opponent, like the goal scored by Schon against Portugal and refused for an offside position.

Bristol City player Adam Nagy is the centerpiece of the Hungarian collective.

But the team, unaccustomed to high international level, still tends to give up at the end of the match.

How did they qualify for the Euro?

Hungary finished only fourth of five in their qualifying group, behind Croatia, Wales and Slovakia. Its status as one of the best teams in the C League of the Nations League allowed it to play in the play-offs at the end of 2020. The Magyars clearly beat Bulgaria in the semi-finals (1-3) before depriving Iceland of a new final phase of international competition, by snatching victory in Budapest at the very end of the final (2-1). A victory they owe to Nego and Szoboszlai, two protagonists who started the first meeting of the Euro on the bench.
