- But just being able to get back on the ice again feels so very good.

I can say no more than that.

It is a fantastic feeling to be back on the ice again, says Lindblom.

The award goes to the player in the league who during the season has best exemplified perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to ice hockey.

Lindblom was diagnosed at the end of 2019 with Ewing's sarcoma, a type of skeletal cancer.

At the beginning of July last year, he finished his cancer treatment and already two months after that he was back on the ice.

- Coming back when you have lost all the muscles - then when you start playing you feel that you are not really there - it was a hard time to get through.

Then the mental catches up, and you are tired all the time.

Last season was a struggle for me, says Lindblom.

- Oskar is a young man who continues to impress us with his commitment and character.

Going through what he went through and returning to the team during the playoffs in the Toronto bubble shows an incredible amount of determination and courage, says coach Chuck Fletcher.
