Sweden got one point from the European Championship premiere against Spain (0-0).

At the same time, one of Sweden's biggest stars was isolated.

Dejan Kulusevski was hit before the tournament by covid-19 and was therefore forced to stand over the match.

There have been questions about whether the 21-year-old would have time to recover and join the national team squad, but now the national team captain Janne Andersson comes with a happy message.

- He has come a long way and has done the investigations that are to be done.

A final test will be carried out that he is one hundred percent healthy and then I expect that he will train with us on Wednesday, Andersson says to EXpressen.

The match against Slovakia will be played at 3 pm on Friday, but Andersson has no hopes of playing Kulusevski from the start.

- Dejan can play, but if he will play after a week's absence, I do not know.

We have to take it a little as it comes, because you have to increase the return physically.

Hopefully he is up for a run-in on Friday, he says.

Midfielder Mattias Svanberg, who was also infected during the camp in Gothenburg, is not ready for games against Slovakia.

- He is not relevant for that match but I hope he can be relevant later, says Andersson.
