Tonight, UFC 263 went off the rails and the Swedish fighter Pannie "Banzai" Kianzad (16-5) had the chance to take his fourth straight victory.

And she took it.

- It was tough, an even match, but I felt I had it.

I had good control everywhere, says Pannie Kianzad to SVT Sport.

The 29-year-old beat veteran Alexis Davis, 36, (20-12) via unanimous decision to the numbers 30-27, 30-27, 29-28 in the bantamweight class.

- I was very, very nervous before this fight, but I pulled myself together.

It's a little different to meet someone who's been around for so long.

But I knew that if there was anyone who could do it, it was me.

Despite the nervousness, Kianzad started the fight best, albeit somewhat passively.

The first round contained a lot of precision shots from the Swede's side and Davis did not have much to oppose.

- I tried to read what she did and I had some thoughts about what she was going to do.

It is difficult to enter with a clear game plan.

But she did not seem to want to take me down as I thought and I did not give her permission to do so and kept it as much standing as possible.

"I got a couple of good bangs"

Alex Davis, who before the fay had three losses in his last four, got started in round two and pressed "Banzai".

However, she was never bad.

- It became smoother than I wanted.

She got a few kicks in but I really felt that there was nothing to worry about at the time anyway.

- Over my one cauliflower ear the edge was torn up and it bled into the nose, I got a couple of good bangs, but there was nothing that affected so.

Challenged a certain fighter in the victory interview

She was actually scheduled to face former title challenger Raquel Pennington (11-9), who withdrew.

- My plan has now been to go to this fight, to keep me active, win it and meet her later at the end of the summer.

That's what I'm hoping for.

If she has a UFC belt in sight?

- I want to be realistic, I can imagine three or four pieces.

Definitely that I am closest (a belt) of the Swedes, but it is also because I am active.

Then I also win against top fighters and I have to do that if I want to get where I'm talking about.

Pannie Kianzad is ranked eleventh in the bantamweight division.
