12 people in the Venezuelan national football team were infected with “Corona” before the Brazil match

Twelve members of the Venezuelan national football team participating in the Copa America, including players and technical staff, were infected with the Covid-19 virus, on the eve of the confrontation against Brazil in the opening match of the continental championship that will be held tomorrow evening, according to the Brazilian Ministry of Health announced today.

The Ministry of Health said that it had received the news of the positive results yesterday evening from the South American Federation (CONMEBOL), and indicated in a statement: “The Ministry of Health was informed by CONMEBOL that 12 members of the Venezuelan national team, including players and others from the technical staff, underwent tests for the Corona virus, and their results were positive.

All of them do not feel any symptoms.”

The 47th edition of the Copa America football competition kicks off on Sunday in Brazil.
