Tonight at 18.00, Finland's football masters will play their first ever championship match.

In front of thousands of supporters at Parken in Copenhagen, they meet Denmark in the first group game match.

And the night before the big day, two of the team's stars came with good news.

Both Tim Sparv, who has been injured in the knee, and Teemu Pukki, who has had an ankle injury, are both ready for 90 minutes of play.

- I have trained fully for a week and a half, like the rest of the team.

The ankle has not been in trouble.

It is probably in good condition now and I am ready to play as much as the coaches want, says Teemu Pukki to Yle.

"The challenger role suits us"

It is a tough match that awaits Finland.

While they fell in the European Championship genre reps against Estonia (0-1) and Sweden (0-2), Denmark won 2-0 against Bosnia-Herzegovina and played 1-1 against the great team Germany.

Finnish national team captain Markku Kanerva, however, does not see it as a completely impossible task to defeat the Danes.

- They have a dynamic attacking game and a strong defensive team.

It is difficult to score on them, but it is also difficult to prevent their shooting.

The challenger role suits us.

The challenge is great, but I have a strong confidence in my team, says Markku Kanerva.

Denmark-Finland is played at 18.00 and broadcast on TV4.
