In addition, the largest number of spectators in a day is Tokyo on July 31, with about 225,000 people.

Nobuhiko Okabe, director of the Kawasaki City Institute of Health and Safety, who chaired the event, said, "Unfortunately, there can be no zero infected people, so it is important to reduce it as much as possible. I suggested that you change your mind and enjoy watching the game remotely. For example, when we say stay home in stage 4, people who have tickets are not free to watch the game. "

Hidemasa Nakamura, chief of the Organizing Committee's Main Operations Center, said, "We will announce a policy on the maximum number of spectators in June, but we cannot predict what will happen after that. Of course, we cannot hold a safe and secure tournament unless we assume various cases." He talked and expressed his intention to flexibly respond to the number of spectators according to the infection situation.
