The Tokyo Olympic torch relay will be handed over to Aomori Prefecture from the 10th.

On the 10th of the first day, relays on public roads will be canceled and an alternative ignition ceremony will be held in Aomori City.

The torch relay in Aomori Prefecture was held for two days on the 10th and 11th, and on the 10th of the first day, the relay on public roads was canceled due to the infection status of the new coronavirus.

As an alternative event, an ignition ceremony will be held on the afternoon of the 10th at Aoiumi Park in Aomori City, which was scheduled to be the goal of the first day.

The ceremony was scheduled to run in 8 cities, towns and villages such as Hirosaki City and Aomori City where relays were scheduled to be held on the first day, and Mutsu City and Misawa City where relays on public roads were canceled on the second day 110. It is expected that more than one person will participate.

To prevent infection, the general audience is not allowed in the venue, and the runners run about 30 meters and connect the torch with a "torch kiss" that transfers the torch to the next runner.

The first runner will be Haruka Saito, who was planning to run the team in Hirosaki City, the hometown of Japan, as the coach of the Japanese softball team at the Beijing Olympics, and the last is Daimao Kosaka, a talent from Aomori City. ..

The torch relay on the 11th will be held on public roads with a shorter section than originally planned, and will go around four cities and towns from Towada City to Hachinohe City.
