The Russian Athletics Federation has been suspended from international competitions since 2015 after a Wadar report found state-controlled doping.

At some of the championships since then, activists from Russia have been able to participate as neutral activists, ANA.

If they have been able to show that they have undergone test activities.

The Russian Federation may make the selection

Today, the International Athletics Federation, World Athletics, gave the go-ahead for another 35 Russian athletes to participate in the Olympics in Tokyo, which now means that 62 active people have been given the go-ahead, but there is a big catch.

World Athletics allows only ten of them to participate in the Games.

"The Russian Athletics Federation can choose from among the ten athletes who have received ANA status, but it must prioritize and make the selection among those who are registered in the international test activities," World Athletics said in a comment according to Reuters.
