More than 20 years ago, in a match in one of the internationally recognized English domestic leagues, the fastest expulsion case in football history was recorded.

On October 31, 2000, a match took place between the "Cross Farm Park Celtic" team against "Tanton East Rich Wanderers" in the English "Sunday League", and the match saw the expulsion of the English player Lee Todd, the striker of "Cross Farm" just seconds after starting the match.

After the players of the two teams and the three referees came down, and after the match was ready to start, the referee blew the start whistle, but he was close to Todd, who was cursed with obscene words because of the loud whistle sound, so the referee thought it was directed at him and expelled him immediately after only two seconds.

Todd - whose team won at the time 11-3 - says that "we were just around the corner from the start of the match and warned the referee - as usual - that the insult and the offensive words subjected the player to the penalty, then he whistled near my ear, so I insulted with obscene words and the direct step of the referee was to raise the red card in Face me and kick me out of the match."

Todd was also fined 30 euros and banned from playing for 35 days.
