The fans of Frankfurter Eintracht can enjoy the summer break.

If the exodus of the sporting leadership triggered panic attacks in some cases, even midfielder Sebastian Rode noticed half astonished, half desperate that after the most successful season in a long time everyone is suddenly gone, now everything speaks for the fact that the change has been successful.

The future prospects with sports director Markus Krösche, trainer Oliver Glasner and the sports managers Ben Manga and Timmo Hardung are no worse than if Fredi Bobic, Adi Hütter and Bruno Hübner had remained in charge.

The chairman of the supervisory board, Philip Holzer, the board members Axel Hellmann and Oliver Frankenbach as well as the president Peter Fischer have kept their promise that the new people do not stand for stagnation, but for further development.

The leading figures come from the Champions League participants RB Leipzig and VfL Wolfsburg.

We will have to wait and see whether they will continue to work just as successfully in Frankfurt, but there is nothing to prevent the new and old forces from working together.

The continuity is preserved

The search was silent, not fast, but quick enough, and logical decisions were made. With Glasner, Eintracht hired a coach from Hütters Schneid, one who fits in with the club's game philosophy and thus also with the squad. The continuity is preserved.

In a one-and-a-half hour interview with the FAZ, sports director Krösche convincingly explained his understanding of football in general, of unity in particular, and of personnel management. His plans to further develop Eintracht are ambitious, but are presented with a pronounced sense of reality. Above all, however, Krösche gave the impression of being a team player who also appreciates and praises the work of predecessors and colleagues. The path that Eintracht has taken is impressive, as is the squad of players.

Nobody comes here who knocks everything down to make a name for themselves. Although he has a wealth of experience as the son of an entrepreneur, business administration student, professional player, assistant coach, head coach and sports director, which equips him for every aspect of his work as a board member, Krösche is anything but a know-it-all. There are worse prospects for a successful collaboration.
