It was six minutes into overtime that Nick Paul got the puck from Connor Brown, teammate of the NHL team Ottawa Senators, and put in the goal that gave Canada World Cup gold.

- It's awesome.

This is what you always dream of when you visualize ice hockey.

It's incredible, he says.

Canada started the championship with three straight losses against Latvia, USA and Germany.

Paul says that the team got closer to each other the longer the tournament went and in the end they had to raise the dent.

- We got so close to each other in the team.

We came from many different places and did not know each other, but we grew every day and to stand there and watch the flag hoisted was incredible.

He thinks that their journey from calculated to master can inspire others.

- You are never out, you are never down.

It is an important lesson for everyone, not only in ice hockey but in life.

Things may not seem to be going in the right direction, but if you stick together and work hard, you can achieve what you want.

How high do you rate this in life?

- It's up there, probably top two, top one.
