Ryota Yamagata on land set a new Japanese record of 9.95 seconds in the men's 100-meter race in Tottori.

Yamagata broke the Japanese record for Sani Brown Abdul Hakim in the men's 100-meter final of the "Fuse Sprint" held in Tottori City under favorable conditions with a tailwind of 2 meters.

Yamagata is the fourth Japanese player in the 9-second range.

Ryota Yamagata is 28 years old from Hiroshima prefecture.

It has a characteristic of running that maintains speed from a vigorous start and connects to the finish.

He has participated in two consecutive Olympic Games in London and Rio de Janeiro, and won a silver medal as a member of the men's 400m relay at the Rio de Janeiro Games.

At the 2018 Asian Games, he won the bronze medal by marking a good time of 10:00, which was the second place in Japan's history at that time and was in line with his personal best.

While having top-class ability in Japan, he had a reluctant season last season due to lung illness, etc., due to the pain in his right knee. I left the result before the Japan Championships.
