21-year-old Armand Duplantis has been sensationally good in recent years.

He took World Cup silver behind the American Sam Kendricks in 2019, but after that he won everything he lined up in until the DL premiere when Kendricks cracked him again.

- I think it was good for me.

It took me down to earth and made me realize that I can lose.

I'm not invincible.

I have to go one hundred percent into every competition and I have to take it super seriously.

I can lose, just like everyone else, he says to SVT SPort.

Today, Duplantis jumped a full 6.10 meters in Dutch Hengelo.

"Felt I had something to prove"

- I came to this competition with a lot of motivation after losing for the first time in a long time.

So I felt I really had something to prove.

Now the Olympics are the big goal and there the Swede is a big gold favorite.

- I want to top the form for the Olympics.

I want everything to work.

I want to get my jumping as close to perfection as possible.
