The one-year postponed torch relay will be held in Tohoku since Fukushima Prefecture, which was held in March as the whole start, and in Yamagata Prefecture, a total of 187 runners will hold the torch in 18 cities and towns. Connect.



The first day, the 6th, will be held in 10 cities and towns, starting from Nishikawa Town after 8 am, passing through Yonezawa City, etc., and arriving at the Yamagata Prefectural Cultural Arts Center before 8 pm.



In Yamagata Prefecture, security staff along the road wear "bibs" with a message calling for infection control, while some local governments have canceled relays on public roads nationwide due to the influence of the new coronavirus. It will be carried out on public roads as scheduled.



On the other hand, the ceremony called "Celebration" held at the goal points on the 6th and 7th has been changed to a form in which only the people concerned attend without attending the audience.



The torch relay in Yamagata Prefecture will be held until the 7th, and will be handed over to Akita Prefecture after arriving at Sakata City, the final goal point.



After that, the torch relay will be held on the 8th and 9th of this month in Akita prefecture, the 10th and 11th in Aomori prefecture, the 16th to 18th in Iwate prefecture, and the 19th to 21st in Miyagi prefecture, the last prefecture in Tohoku.
