Montreal won tonight's match 1-0 after Tyler Toffoli decided at the beginning of the second period.

In a box play, Toffoli came loose in a game reversal.

He pushed up the puck on the right wing and made a pull when he entered the offensive zone and fired a quick shot that went in behind Connor Hellebuyck in the Winnipeg goal.

Montreal goalkeeper Carey Price made 30 saves and kept a clean sheet for the first time in this year's playoffs (eighth in his career).

- The guys did a good job in front of me.

It was a real team effort, Price says according to the NHL.

Scheifele's overtaking of Evans after he angled in the last goal, 5-3, in an empty net has given a high tone and the Monteal players have said that they will take revenge on the Winnipeg player if he returns in a possible sixth match.

After the tackle, Scheifele and his family have been threatened.

"Hatred of my family is disgusting"

- I can accept the punishment.

It's part of the game.

But the hatred that my family has endured, the breeding ground they have received is completely unacceptable.

It's disgusting to see.

My parents are so down to earth and that they receive such hatred is awful.

There is no reason, says Scheifele, who emphasizes that the intention was not to harm Evans but to prevent him from scoring.

- There is no malice there and I do not go in with the intention of injuring a player.

My statistics speak for themselves.

I have not had a charge (violent tackle after taking too many skates) in my 600 games in the NHL.

I wanted to remove him from the post, says Scheifele.

Evans rested in tonight's match with a concussion and it is unclear when he will be ready to play again.

The third quarterfinal will be played Monday night in Montreal.

Unless Winnipeg's Mark Scheifele is suspended for tackling Jake Evans, the Montreal players will take revenge.
