The 21-year-old started with par on the first seven holes before the first and only bogey of the round occurred on the eighth.

Strong played stably and on holes 12 and 13 she hit with two straight birdies.

In the end, she went around on 70 strokes, one under par, and is now -1 after two rounds.

Several top players had not finished playing when Stark finished.

It was harder for several other Swedes.

Amanda Linnér (+24), Linnea Ström (+16) and Louise Stahle (+15) miss the qualifying limit.

Pernilla Lindberg, who had a heavier first round, played up and went around 72 strokes compared to the 76 she stood for on Thursday.

Lindberg must, however, rely on other golfers' results later on Friday for her to have a chance to pass the qualifying limit.
