The MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg trembled after an impressive performance over long stretches of their first victory in the semi-final series of the basketball Bundesliga.

The champions of the main round defeated FC Bayern Munich just under 101: 98 on Saturday, although the Baden-Württemberg team were at times in the lead with 16 points.

A team needs three successes to reach the final.

"We had a concentration problem in this game and didn't manage to do our job," said FCB coach Andrea Trinchieri angrily at "MagentaSport".

After a balanced start (9: 8/5.), The home side worked out a comfortable lead thanks to a 12-0 run.

They benefited from seven Munich ball losses in the first quarter.

Bayern recovered and made better use of the gaps in the giant defensive until the break.

They really put the home side in danger, who appeared more alert and venomous, but not yet.

That changed in the final section. Bayern shortened to 84:89 and 95:97, but Ludwigsburg again had the right answers.

The last two litters were given by Munich's Vladimir Lucic under distress.

“We got nervous again and almost gave up the game. Overall it was very good, ”said Ludwigsburg coach John Patrick, whose protégé Jamel McLean was the best thrower of the game with 27 points.
