Manchester United's English national team player Marcus Rashford has been praised for his work alongside the pitch.

On the one hand, he saw with an open letter that the British government changed last summer and helped vulnerable children with food, and on the other hand, the 23-year-old has started a fundraiser for the same purpose, it is up to over a quarter of a billion kronor.

Rashford's actions have reached all the way to Barack Obama, who was the 44th president of the United States between 2009 and 2017. On social media, Obama shows a clip of the conversation he and Rashford had recently.

- I think Marcus is far ahead of me compared to where I was when I was 23 years old.

Then I mostly tried to find out things.

When you look at big social movements and changes, it is usually young people who start them, says Barack Obama.

Rashford tells CNN about the incident.

- So, it's quite surreal, right?

I'm sitting in my kitchen in Manchester talking to President Obama.

He made me relax right away, says Rashford.

Marcus Rashford has been selected in England's gross squad for the European Championships, June 1 is the last date to determine the nation's 26-man squad, which begins on June 11.
