A British soccer fan has filed a lawsuit against 6 senior officials in the UAE, after allegations of torture, unlawful imprisonment or any crime while he was on vacation there in 2019.

The Guardian newspaper said that Ali Issa Ahmed, 28, a British citizen, born in Sudan, had a story of suffering when he went on vacation to the UAE in January 2019 to attend the AFC Asian Cup hosted by the UAE between From January 5th to February 1st, 2019.

According to Ahmed's account, he was imprisoned without any right, and was subjected to assault, beatings, and deliberate harm.

Then Emirati officials called and ordered him to take off the Qatari shirt, and the next day officials stopped him again, and said that he had been severely assaulted before his arrest and imprisonment.
