At the age of 18, he was one step away from the Olympic medal.
Five later, when the pandemic delayed everything, Jesús Tortosa, that lanky man from Madrid who moved Spain from Rio, looked at Tokyo with the ambition of experience, of exhaustive preparation for an appointment that was something more for him and his entire family, pure tradition of Spanish taekwondo.
And, suddenly, two months before the Games, the stick.
