Fukuoka Kitakyushu Phoenix is ​​currently applying to join the "Kyushu Asia League", which has two teams, Oita and Kumamoto, and is aiming to enter from next season.



The reason for being based in Kitakyushu is that Kyushu is active in baseball, producing many professional baseball players, and has a large population and economy.



"Phoenix" is the name of the team when Mr. Horie aimed to enter professional baseball in 2004 when he was the president of Livedoor.



The team plans to use the Kitakyushu Municipal Baseball Stadium as its home stadium and also use nearby stadiums, and will collect approximately 100 million yen in operating expenses from sponsors and other organizations in the future.



Mr. Horie said, "I would like to create a mechanism that can be enjoyed other than baseball so that not only core fans but also people who watch baseball only occasionally can visit."
