Mikko Manner won World Cup gold with Finland 2019 and has three domestic league titles with Kärpät as coach.

The 46-year-old is now taking over the job as head coach in Brynäs, who hung on in the SHL with difficulty after a qualifying win against HV71.

After the season, there has also been a real storm in the Gävle team as two players are suspected of assault in a close relationship and rape.

Manner is currently in Riga at the World Ice Hockey Championships, where his Finland will try to defend the gold from 2019.
