At the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics, we plan to use a total of 5,500 buses and passenger cars to transport athletes and people involved in the Games. On the 25th, Chairman Hashimoto of the Games Organizing Committee visited the depot.

At the Tokyo tournament, about 2000 buses and about 3500 passenger cars are planned to be used to transport athletes and tournament officials, and seven depots called "depots" will be set up in Tokyo.

Of these, the largest vehicle base of about 15 hectares was set up on the site of the former Tsukiji Market in Chuo Ward, which was inspected by Chairman Hashimoto of the Organizing Committee on the 25th.

At the peak of the tournament, a maximum of 3000 drivers and staff are scheduled to gather each day, and there is also a dining room and a break room, and it is possible to take measures against infection such as setting partitions on the table.

The depot has "negative pressure" vehicles that can reduce the internal air pressure to prevent the virus from spreading outside and lifts to make it easier for people with disabilities to get on and off to carry people suspected of being infected with corona. Approximately 1,500 cars, including attached cars, have already been collected, and training for volunteers to drive has begun this month.

Chairman Hashimoto, who visited the tour, said, "We have to take good care of the driver's health. We want to make steady preparations and lead to the success of the tournament."
