The Emergency Headquarters of the Emergency Command of the Yellow River Stone Forest Mountain Marathon 100-kilometer Cross-Country Race released a message on the 24th. As of the morning of the day, all the families of the 21 victims had been contacted. The families of the 20 victims had arrived in Baiyin City, and 1 was killed. Family members are on the way.

Among them, Huang Guanjun's family is also included.

Huang Guanjun, 34, is from Mianyang, Sichuan. He is a deaf-mute disabled runner.

Since he was a kid who loved running, he started practicing long-distance running in 2015 and won the 10,000-meter championship at the National Disabled Athletics Championships three years later.

At the 10th National Paralympic Games and the 7th Special Olympics Games held in 2019, the then 32-year-old Huang Guanjun won the men's full marathon hearing impaired champion in 2 hours, 38 minutes and 29 seconds.

According to local media statistics, it was the first time that a disabled athlete in Mianyang won a national marathon. More and more people in the circle called him "Mianyang No. 1 Brother."

On the day of winning the national championship, Huang Guanjun cried.

At that time, "Mianyang No. 1 Brother" was full of expectations for the future, and with the encouragement of good results, he hoped that one day he could run to a bigger stage.

However, these beautiful longings are forever trapped in the cold mountains of Baiyin, Gansu.

According to Sichuan Daily, Huang Guanjun competed with 3 other runners from Mianyang that day.

Companions recalled that Huang Guanjun ran ahead in the game.

When he arrived at the first check-in point, he was the first.

However, the temperature became lower and lower as the altitude increased, and the oncoming freezing rain made more and more contestants feel bad, and immediately chose to retire and evacuate.

Although it was downhill, the harsh low temperature environment and gradually unconscious hands and feet caused some runners to even think that they might not be able to go back when they returned.

A companion of Huang Guanjun retired after 5 hours from the start. She stumbled away for nearly an hour before she dared to wait for rescue before she came to a house on the bottom of the mountain to rest.

This small house squeezed in more than 20 people, and everyone was shaking because of the low temperature.

After waiting for about 50 minutes, I was notified that the vehicle was not coming up, so I had to continue walking down the mountain.

After walking about 10 kilometers, everyone met rescuers.

However, my companions did not wait for Huang Guanjun to return safely in the end.

Even when danger comes, he can't call for help like ordinary people, he can only face the suffering alone.

According to a cover news report, after learning that his son had been killed, Huang Shunlin, Huang Guanjun's father, was very sad, and immediately decided to go to Gansu to "take" his son home.

The old man said that after Huang Guanjun arrived in Baiyin, Gansu, he sent him a lot of photos, "Why are they gone?!"

Huang Shunlin introduced that Huang Guanjun was unfortunately deaf-mute and disabled due to a childhood illness and injection error.

But he did not give up his life because of this, and insisted on running more than ten kilometers every day.

"He loves to run when he is studying, and he has been participating in various competitions over the years. We also hope that he can'stand up'."

According to reports, Huang Guanjun's family's economic conditions are very average. His father makes a living by selling fruits, and his sister is still in college.

After learning about Huang Guanjun's accident, friends in the Mianyang running circle have begun to donate money to Huang Guanjun, hoping to help the family tide over this difficult situation.

Friends around revealed that Huang Guanjun has always wanted to become a professional athlete, and his main source of income is to rely on various small marathon bonuses.

However, Huang Guanjun's level is still far from the top, so the bonus is not very high, but a few hundred yuan is already very important to him.

This time Huang Guanjun also wanted to earn thousands of bonuses when he went to participate in Gansu Baiyin.

In order to improve his life, Huang Guanjun taught himself Qiang embroidery, computer design and other skills.

It is conceivable that he has to work harder than ordinary people to learn these things.

In times of difficulty, Huang Guanjun had to "cope" with instant noodles for meals, and there was even a possibility of interruption.

Even so, he has always insisted on training, hoping to realize his dream one day.

Huang Guanjun’s WeChat circle of friends stayed in the natural scenery of Baiyin City and his participation in this cross-country marathon.

From between the lines, he can feel his longing for nature and love for running.

He takes the life he loves seriously, but he can't wait for the day he is most looking forward to.
