The star of the Egyptian national team and former Al-Ahly club, Mohamed Abu Trika, praised the solidarity of the Algerian star, Riyad Mahrez, with the Palestinian cause during the celebrations of his Manchester City team for the Premier League title in football, by raising the Palestinian flag at the Al-Ittihad Stadium.
"The Israeli aggression against Palestine was a revelation that showed the minerals of major football stars and their solidarity with the Palestinian cause," Abu Trika said in the analytical studio of beIN Sports channels on Sunday.

He added, "In the 11-day period of the Israeli aggression on Gaza, the bright face of the athletes appeared. The Palestinian cause must be solidarity with humanity, and the humanitarian gesture and stances are the ones that remain immortal in people's minds."
He referred to the great role that football stars should have, as they are not only players, but rather they must become role models and holders of a message to spread awareness in the Western and European world about the Palestinian issue, because it is, according to his description, "the compass and revealing of the nation."
It is difficult for us to salute all of the celebrities and stars in solidarity with Palestine, for they are so many that it is impossible to count them, whether they are Arabs or Muslims, or among the free people of the world.
The last of them is the Algerian Riyad Mahrez in Britain, and the Egyptian Amr Warda in Greece, and many before them.
