The Dutch skateboarders Roos Zwetsloot and Keet Oldenbeuving have almost certainly qualified for the Olympic Games in Tokyo on Monday.

In the so-called Dew Tour in the American town of Des Moine, Dutch champion Zwetsloot and the sixteen-year-old Oldenbeuving conquered third and sixth place in the Street Skateboarding section.

They thus met the requirements of the NOC * NSF sports umbrella.

Given their position in the top twenty of the world rankings, this is normally sufficient for qualification.

Candy Jacobs, with her current fifth place in the world ranking, is almost certain of participating in the Olympic Games.

After next week's skateboarding World Cup in Rome, in which the three women will also participate, the official confirmation for the thirty-year-old skateboard star from Tegelen will follow, according to the Dutch skateboarding federation.

Skateboarding is part of the Olympic Games for the first time this year.

"We are very proud that we as the Netherlands, like the United States, Brazil and Japan, will be fully represented at the Olympic Games with three skaters in the women's field", said national coach Sjoerd Vlemmings.
