His career came to a perfect end when Antonio Lindbäck drove home the Swedish Championship gold to the parent club Masarna last autumn.

But it now turns out that it was not the end.

- I had decided to quit, but when the Masars came up with this proposal, it felt interesting and the craving came back, he says.

"Not meant as a full-scale comeback"

The club announces that the 36-year-old will drive for them in 2021.

- I do this to help the Masars and be a mentor to the younger drivers.

It is not meant as a full-scale comeback but more to protect the club, he says.

In addition to the Swedish Championship gold, Lindbäck also has two gold medals with Sweden in the team WC from 2004 and 2015.

The season starts on Tuesday 1 June.

Then the Masars are set against the Blacksmiths.
