The torch relay in Hyogo Prefecture was scheduled to connect 14 cities with about 180 runners in two days, but the relay on public roads has been extended due to the extension of the state of emergency due to the spread of the new corona infection. All have been cancelled.



On the second day, the 24th, an ignition ceremony was held at the site of Sasayama Castle in Tamba Sasayama City without the general audience.



On the second day, 113 runners who were scheduled to run in seven cities gathered and ran about 20 meters per person at "Sannomaru Square" and connected the torch for about two hours.



Nobuharu Asahara, who won the silver medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics Men's Athletics 400m Relay, and Rika Kihira, a figure skating graduate from Nishinomiya City, also participated and connected the torch with a smile.



Unfortunately, it was raining on the 24th, but the last runner lit the torch plate before 3:00 pm, ending the two-day schedule.



The torch relay will be held in Kyoto Prefecture from the 25th.
