At yesterday's Diamond League competition, Armand Duplantis suffered his first loss since 2019. Sam Kendricks won the competition, and the last time he defeated "Mondo" was during the World Cup final in Doha in October 2019.
It was windy and wet in Gateshead, UK.
Duplantis chose to act as a functionary to help.
When Sam Kendricks was about to jump, "Mondo" stood holding the umbrella.
Duplantis stopped at 5.55 at yesterday's pole vault competition.
