Klopp reveals the rescue operation of Mohamed Salah for Liverpool

German coach Juergen Klopp, Liverpool coach, who competes in the English Premier League, said that his Egyptian striker Mohamed Salah's keenness to score is in the interest of the club, which is seeking a place among the golden box teams at the end of the season.

Liverpool won the title last season, but was in eighth place in March this year, and then its chances of qualifying for the Champions League next season were slim, but it played nine games unbeaten after that to climb to fourth place.

Salah played a prominent role in the club's career, scoring 22 goals to share the top scorer in the tournament with Harry Kane of Tottenham Hotspur.

"It is easy to imagine our situation without goals, Mohamed Salah," Klopp told reporters before his team’s match against Crystal Palace on Sunday.

"The team helps him a lot and he does a lot as well. This stems from his desire and his professionalism. His strong desire (to score) is what helps us a lot," the coach added.

Salah is the only player in Liverpool to score more than nine goals in the league this season, while Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Diogo Jota have nine goals each.

"This is a really special year for him," Klopp said.

Before the final round of the season today, Sunday, three teams - Chelsea (67 points), Liverpool and Leicester City (66 points each) - are competing for the last two places qualified for the Champions League.
