After two days in quarantine on site in Latvia, and even more on the trip here from different countries, the players have now been released and have been able to train together on ice.

The first training was already held on Tuesday, but today the media was also allowed to be on site for the first time.

Among other things, powerplay games were practiced where one of the line-ups contained four of Sweden's five NHL professionals: Rickard Rakell, Victor Olofsson, Isac Lundeström and Adrian Kempe.

Henrik Tömmernes was the fifth player in the formation.

- Now the NHL reinforcements have joined the Swedish team and it is they who will be the difference between success and failure, says SVT's expert Jonas Andersson.

Who do you see as Sweden's key players?

- Rakell and Olofsson above all.

They have trained powerplay today and there they are really good.

Class players.

"No very strong Swedish squad"

Due to the pandemic, there are fewer NHL professionals than usual at the World Cup and, for example, the normally star-studded Canada has a young team with five players born in the 2000s and eleven players who have made less than 100 NHL matches.

Jonas Andersson believes in an uncertain tournament.

- Sweden does not have a very strong squad on paper, but neither does anyone else.

I believe in a much smoother World Cup and we will surely see some bangs.

It is not like at the World Cup 2019 when Russia came with an Allstar team.

This will be very interesting to follow.

Switzerland, for example, has a strong team.

What chances do you give Sweden?

- Sweden has an absolute chance to be involved and even fight for the gold, but it is definitely not a given medal.

The Hockey World Cup is broadcast on SVT starting on Friday, but for the Swedish part, the first match awaits on Saturday against Denmark.
