The ice hockey World Cup begins on Friday in Riga, Latvia.

For two weeks, May 21-June 6, all 64 matches are broadcast live on Swedish Television - exclusively.

SVT is investing heavily in the championship with studios in both Stockholm and Riga, and among the experts we find two new ones in the form of Kim Martin Hasson and Håkan Loob.

New to the expert group is also Daniel Rudslätt, who won Swedish Championship gold with Brynäs in 1999 and has 27 international matches on the merit list.

- It will be incredibly fun to work with SVT and the ice hockey WC.

Finally some sunlight in an otherwise rather gloomy pandemic.

I really look forward to entertaining, exciting matches where I hope that Tre Kronor goes far in the tournament, says the former goalkeeper Kim Martin Hasson.

Visited by several profiles

The studio will also be visited by many other hockey profiles, including Frölunda coach Roger Rönnberg and Björklövenstjärnan, also former Tre Kronor hill Daniel Rahimi and many more exciting names.

- It is the largest hockey investment we have ever made on SVT and we look forward to welcoming almost the entire Swedish people to SVT during these weeks.

The Ice Hockey World Cup is a championship that engages all ages and target groups and Tre Kronor is one of Sweden's most popular national teams, says SVT's sports director Åsa Edlund Jönsson.
