Emirates Club board of directors resigns despite qualifying to "professional"

The Emirates Club announced that the club’s board of directors, headed by Mahmoud Hassan Al Shamsi, has submitted a collective resignation to Sheikh Ahmed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, the club’s president.

The resignation came even though the club had achieved its goals this season by qualifying for the "professionals" to participate in the Arabian Gulf League, after it secured second place in the Amateur League, succeeding Arabism.

Al-Shamsi confirmed in an official statement that the Board of Directors submitted its collective resignation, after a meeting of the Board of Directors, through which it submitted a detailed report, which included their most prominent work during the past seasons, and the most prominent obstacles that faced the management, whether internal or external.

Al-Shamsi also indicated that the resignation came for special circumstances, and before the term of the council extending until next August, as well as the desire of the members of the board of directors to open the way for a new administration to serve the club, noting that the Emirates Club has competencies capable of advancing its goals and advancing various activities.
