When it became clear a few days ago that the striker would miss the championship, Janne Andersson's reaction was "sad", says the national team captain in SVT's Morgonstudion.
He and Zlatan had a conversation.
- It was good, if it can now be good from the perspective that he announces that he needs rehab for six weeks.
He thought sad, we and we all thought sad.
We played two matches with him and it felt hopeful.
But it is part of football, says Andersson.
Ibrahimovic's return to the national team has received a lot of attention and the star was expected to play a key role in the Swedish European Championship team.
