Lindberg reached the final with the fastest time in the trials but in the final the British Jessica-Jane Appelgate was fastest and won the gold 1:59 seconds ahead of Lindberg.

28-year-old Lindberg has for many years been one of Sweden's foremost Para swimmers with several World Cup and European Championship medals on the merit list and has already been selected for the Paralympics in Tokyo this summer. 

Today, new European Championships swimming awaits Lindberg, who then competes in 100 backstroke. 

Another Swede participated in tonight's final session.
