• Designed by two tennis instructors from Toulouse, the Coach & Court platform makes it possible to find a partner at his level and in his geographical area, for all racquet sports.

  • It is free, including for coaches who want to offer private lessons.

  • The site also lists the land available near you.

With the approach of deconfinement, Mathieu has, like many, ants in the racket. This 34-year-old Toulousain plays tennis as a dilettante, outside the club, and is generally ready for local tournaments at the end of spring. He would like to "hit balls" to get back to level, but between work, curfew, difficult to find the right niche with his "two, three usual friends." Suddenly, he registered on the Coach & Court platform which puts racquet sports fans in touch free of charge, depending on their place of residence, their availability and above all their level.

Because having someone on the other side of the net is good, but sometimes boring if they are weaker or too strong.

Patrick Welschbillig and Fabien Maurey, the founders of the platform, are well placed to know that many practitioners encounter this type of inconvenience: they are both tennis instructors.

They therefore share a good knowledge of the environment but also these unwanted free time slots that resulted from the health crisis.

“We wanted to get into something else and see if it could work,” explains Patrick Welschbillig.

Well, they unfortunately launched the platform the day Emmanuel Macron announced the third confinement.

They furnished, fired on social networks to be patient.

You can even find a teacher there

But this time, the shooting window looks good, everyone is furiously eager to stretch their legs. Especially since Coach & Court is not only used to find an opponent to his measure. It also offers a blog and above all lists all the courts (tennis, but also squash and paddle), all over France, some of which are currently quite confidential. Morgane, another thirty-something from the Pink City, was one of the first to "match" on the site and to find the rare pearl: the available player that she had "trouble finding" in her family circle. She is now wondering if she will not "take the coach step". Because the platform works both ways. Professionals can also offer their services free of charge to day students.

This is also the idea, but on a different scale, of Hugues, a tennis teacher in Carcassonne.

He registered on the platform as the manager of a sports club, saying to himself that "tourists passing through the area" might want to tease the ball, with family or against strangers.

With Coach & Court, all they have to do is take the leap.
