Kobe Bryant was posthumously inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame on the night from Saturday to Sunday (Dutch time).

The legend, who died in January last year, was honored at a rally in Uncasville.

Bryant's widow Vanessa appeared on stage with, among others, her children and Michael Jordan and gave a speech.

Los Angeles Lakers legend Bryant was killed in a helicopter crash at the age of 41, along with his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven others.

The Hall of Fame is a prestigious basketball museum in Springfield, Massachusetts, honoring former basketball players and coaches who have been instrumental in the sport.

Historical objects are also on display.

In addition to Bryant, five-time NBA champion Tim Duncan and fifteen-time All-Star Kevin Garnett, among others, were inducted into the Hall of Fame.
