The Eredivisie match between Feyenoord and RKC Waalwijk was briefly stopped on Sunday after supporters of the home club had entered the stadium.

The fans went to the stands and lit fireworks.

As with the vast majority of games of this Eredivisie season, the game was not open to the public due to the corona pandemic.

It is unclear what the intention was of the supporters, who received remarkably enough applause from the Feyenoord players.

When the game was stopped, there were about twenty minutes to play in De Kuip.

After a short delay, peace returned and referee Bas Nijhuis resumed the game.

The score in the match started at 2.30 p.m. was 3-0 for Feyenoord by goals from Nicolai Jørgensen, Jens Toornstra and Steven Berghuis.

Nothing is at stake anymore for both clubs.

Feyenoord already knows that it will enter the play-offs for European football as number five and RKC unofficially secured enforcement last week.
