With an astonishing 6: 0, 6: 0, French Open winner Iga Swiatek secured her first WTA title in the 1000 category in Rome.

In just 46 minutes, the 19-year-old Polish tennis player outclassed former US Open finalist Karolina Pliskova from the Czech Republic in the final of the top-class clay court tournament on Sunday.

In the first sentence left the world rankings-15.

Swiatek gave her opponent only four points.

Overall, she only lost 13 of the 64 rallies - and that against number nine in the world rankings.

Last year Swiatek rushed through the tournament in Paris at the French Open and won her first Grand Slam title.

It was the first so-called “glasses” that existed in a final in Rome in over 90 years of tournament history.
