Bayern Munich have already secured their ninth straight league title and the focus has shifted to Robert Lewandowski, who leads the shooting league by far.

Before today's away match against Freiburg, the Polish striker stood at 39 goals and with barely half an hour played, Bayern got a penalty.

Lewandowski stepped forward and certainly put 1-0 - his 40th league goal this season.

Thus, he touches a certain goal record in the Bundesliga.

"Forever Gerd"

In the 1971/72 season, Bayern's Gerd Müller scored just 40 goals in the Bundesliga in one season.

It stood until today when Lewandowski struck.

The Pole celebrated by showing off a shirt under the match shirt.

It just disguised Müller over the text "4ever Gerd" (forever Gerd).

Then he jogged out to the sideline where teammates and leaders formed a corridor, which the shooter king ran through with outstretched arms.

The match ended 2-2.

Next Saturday, Bayern will host Augsburg in the last round of the league.

Then Lewandowski can go for Gerd Müller.
