The left-back was named the most valuable player in the SHE season 2019-2020, and during this year's regular season she accounted for 130 goals and 106 assists - before breaking her contract with Skuru.
The 30-year-old is now ready for Västerås Irsta for the coming season.
The team came sixth in the regular season and went out to the quarterfinals in the playoffs.
The recruitment of Ulrika Olsson is part of the effort to get to the top.
"Her qualities and experiences will contribute to us as a team taking the next step and being able to challenge the team that is already fighting at the top," says sports director Frenne Båverud in a press release.
Olsson is also positive and she herself believes that there are good opportunities for the association.
“My opinion is that the framework around the association is in place, and that you have a good level to build on in sports.
