Tottenham is forced to pay Mourinho's salary next season, despite his contract with Roma

The British newspaper "The Sun" revealed today that Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho, who was sacked in an earlier period of English club Tottenham Hotspur, will be the biggest winner from this matter, as the London club will continue to be forced to pay a large sum to Mourinho throughout the next season.

This is despite the Italian club Roma announcing yesterday a three-year contract with Mourinho with an annual salary of 6 million euros, while he was getting 17.5 million euros annually from Tottenham.

The surprise, according to the newspaper, is that Tottenham will have, according to the terms of his previous contract with Mourinho, to pay him an amount of 12 million euros throughout the next season, although there is no relationship that brings them together.

The reason for this is that Tottenham sacked Mourinho, and the contract stipulates that in the event that Mourinho can sign another team before next summer, Tottenham will be forced to pay Mourinho's salary for next season slightly less than he had previously received.
