Daliang Mountain, southwest of Sichuan Province.

In the depths of these mountains, 19-year-old Jifu Rama is preparing to build a real grass-covered football field.

From the day he started playing football, having a decent place to train has always been his biggest wish.

Lama's home is located in a small village in Ganluo County, Daliangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture.

There are four children in his family, and Rama is the third.

At the age of 17, Rama set himself a goal: to play in a professional football league within five years.

At that time, he was just a sophomore with no professional foundation but a passion for football.

"It's better to go home and play by yourself"

Just in the second year of junior high, Rama's good friend brought him a jersey from the field.

From that time on, Rama fell in love with football.

Whenever he has time, he runs in the fields.

In the beginning, his parents did not support him to play football, hoping that he would study hard and go to a good university.

After the high school entrance examination, Rama's grades can go to the local key high school, but because this school does not have a football field, Rama chose another vocational high school.

Although the parents were not happy, they no longer blocked them when they saw their son's love for football.

The football atmosphere in the school was pretty good during the first year of high school in Ramat.

He can often play with seniors in high school.

He also bought the net and ball himself.

But slowly, there are fewer and fewer people playing football in school. Rama feels that this is more and more distant from his dream of becoming a professional player.

He thought: "It's better to go home and play by yourself."

After thinking about it, Rama made a major decision-to suspend school.

On October 14, 2019, Rama remembered this day very clearly.

This is the day when he left school and officially embarked on the path of pursuing his dreams.

Rama's father remodeled the training ground for his son.

"Build a free stadium"

After returning home, Rama trained in his cornfield.

Because the ground is uneven, there are stones and weeds in the ground.

After training every day, the puller is covered with mud.

He controlled his training time to 4 to 6 hours a day, and had to help his family with some farm work for the rest of the time.

In the village, only Rama played the ball. He couldn't find anyone to practice with, so he practiced passing the ball against the plank.

Without a professional coach, he would look for videos from the Internet and make a training plan for himself.

But most of the time, puller can only practice shooting, dribbling and bumping the ball.

Lack of training equipment, he used local materials and used discarded tires as obstacles; tied the wood together to serve as a "human wall"; some equipment could not be replaced, so he paid for it out of his own pocket and ordered it online.

Sometimes, puller will go to the mountains to practice, and when playing football, he also shoulders the task of herding cattle.

After discovering a small piece of flat mountain, Puller started to make a simple goal, which became his temporary training ground.

Once, the horns of a sheep got stuck in the net, and the owner came to Rama for compensation after the sheep died.

In order to allow his son to train with peace of mind, Rama's father decided to use cornfields to transform a training field.

He got an excavator to level the ground, planted some grass on it, and set a goal.

Rama used a net to round the cornfield to prevent the cows in the village from gnawing on the grass.

Rama has always had a desire to be able to train on a real football field instead of rolling mud in the vegetable field every day.

He has always wanted to build a stadium in the mountains, but the problems of funding and land have been delayed.

This year, Rama finally started to implement the plan with the help of his family.

At present, he has rented a piece of mountainous land and is digging the outline of the stadium.

He told reporters: "After the stadium is repaired, I want everyone to play for free. But for maintenance costs, I hope everyone can raise a little money."

In order to save costs, Rama is not going to hire workers, but to work with his father.

He also studied the technology of planting grass. After removing the weeds, he had to spread a layer of sand before planting so that the turf would be smoother.

"On perseverance and perseverance who have not yet convinced"

Last year, Rama began to share videos of his training and playing on the Internet.

In the video, he often bumps the ball alone, volleys against an empty goal, or steps on the ball to pull the ball.

Without professional training, the pull horse's strength and speed are not outstanding enough.

Sometimes, his movements even look a little awkward.

At the bottom of the video, some people encouraged him, while others questioned him.

Many netizens said that he was doing a show, and some said that he was not talented enough and old, and it was a fantasy that he wanted to enter the professional league.

Some time ago, in order to test his training level, Rama went to Chongqing to participate in an amateur league.

But he only scored goals in the five-a-side game, and he hasn't scored anything in the eleven-a-side game.

On this trip to Chongqing, Rama went to the Chengdu base of Sheffield United for a trial training.

There weren't many surprises. He lost the election: "I feel that there is a big gap in the trial training. My consciousness, passing, coordination, etc. are too bad."

Rama sometimes finds someone to accompany him to practice.

Now, Rama has been on the road to chasing dreams for more than 500 days.

All signs indicate that the possibility of him becoming a professional player in the future is very slim.

In a video, Rama said: "For football, I will stick to it until I am old. The five-year agreement is just an agreement between me and myself." No matter whether it will succeed in the future, Rama intends to stick to it: " My skills are not good, but I haven't convinced anyone in terms of persistence and perseverance."

When asked what he would do after failure, Rama said that he wanted to promote the development of the local football atmosphere and wanted more children to participate in football.

"If I don't succeed, I want to be a coach. But now I don't know if my actions are right or not. If I teach them wrong, then I will mislead my children." Rama said.

Rama's stadium is under construction.

While insisting on his dream, Rama also quietly made plans for the future and life.

Last year, Rama got the D-level certificate of Chinese football coach, but he still dare not teach anyone to play.

He intends to start teaching the children after passing the C level: "For these people, I can feel that what I teach is right, so that's okay. When they grow up, if they are talented, they can become professional players. That would be even better."

Rama's story is very much like the reality version of "One Ball Becomes Famous".

But Rama doesn't have the extraordinary football talents of the protagonist, and it is difficult for him to become a well-known player.

Ordinary people will only encounter ridicule and doubt on the road to pursue their dreams.

Even if he knew he would not succeed, Rama was still doing what he loved.

In the TV series "Soldiers Assault", the protagonist Xu Sanduo often said: "Life is to do meaningful things, and to do meaningful things is to live well." For Rama, football is the meaning of his life.

Significant things are not big or small, difficult or easy, let alone the result.

It is meaningful to do everything seriously, hard, and persistently.
