Two years ago, Lindsey Vonn ended her successful alpine career.

Where she took 82 World Cup victories, most of all women and second overall behind Ingemar Stenmark at 86. The 36-year-old admits that she still misses everyday life as an elite athlete, but it was worse for her last year.

- I just have to accept that I have stopped and that there is no going back.

I think it's fun to ski with family and friends, says Lindsey Vonn at a press conference according to Blick.

Nowadays, when she introduces herself to new acquaintances, she does so with the title businesswoman and entrepreneur.

- I am such an ambitious person that I forget what makes me happy.

But in recent months, I have never been happier.

I think the pandemic is one of the best things that could happen to me.

It has helped me shut down, and spend more time with myself and what I want to do with my life.

In addition to his 82 World Cup victories, Vonn took two World Cup and one Olympic gold during his career.
