Yang Hyeon-jong of Texas, who makes his major league debut as a starting pitcher, is set to set the record for the club’s oldest starting pitcher debut.



Yang Hyun-jong will stand on the mound as a starter for an away game against Minnesota to be held tomorrow (6th) at Target Field in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA.



The Texas team introduced the next game starter Yang Hyun-jong through the game note and said that Yang Hyun-jong, who is 33 years old and 65 days old, will be the oldest player to debut as a starting pitcher in the history of the Texas club.



The previous record was 32 years and 32 days of Austin Vivens Dirks in 2017.



Yang Hyeon-jong is also the first left-handed pitcher in Texas to throw as a starting this season with a stable pitching with 2 runs and an ERA of 2.08 in 8.2 innings as a relief.
