The race would have been run in the city of Montreal, but will now be replaced by the Turkish GP in Istanbul on 13 June.
"Due to the international travel restrictions in Canada, it is impossible for Formula 1 to avoid a 14-day quarantine upon entry into the country, which has led to the change," Formula 1 writes on its website.
However, Montreal will continue to host the Formula 1 circus.
The city has signed a contract for another two years, which means that it will extend until 2031.
