Today, Uefa presented a new format for the Women's Champions League.

You introduce group games and also get the women's tournament 24 million euros - which is four times more than the current sum.

- It's cool that something is finally starting to happen and that they have changed the whole format of the competition, says Therese Sjögran.

We group game advancements get the team about four million kroner.

That is five times as much as the sum distributed to the team that plays the round of 16 today.

 - It is undeniable that this qualifying match we will have this autumn will be incredibly important.

If we do not win it, we will not be able to take part of this money, says Therese Sjögran.

"Absolute priority"

Previously, the team received money per round.

It has gone from 700,000 thousand to 800,000 in the next round and so on.

- There is a very big difference if you compare with the new format.

Going to a group game is an absolute priority.

Do you think it will be a bigger investment in damallsvenskan now?

- I hope so because it will mean a lot to Swedish football to have a team in this group game.

So I hope that Swedish football invests internally as well.

There will certainly be a lot of central sponsors, TV money and so on.

It's cool and it's going to be exciting to see where these end up.
