- Leipzig is something special - and yet I leave.

I have never made any secret of the fact that I am attracted by the coaching position at Bayern Munich and that I would like to take the job if such a unique opportunity arose, says Nagelsmann, who is leaving Leipzig two years before the end of his contract.

Signed a five-year contract

Football superpower Bayern Munich believes in a golden future with Nagelsmann and has signed a five-year contract.

- Julian Nagelsmann belongs to a new generation of coaches.

Despite his young age, he already has an impressive track record.

We are convinced that with Julian Nagelsmann we will continue the last successful years, says Bavarian President Herbert Hainer, according to Reuters.

Nagelsmann replaces Hansi Flick, who will leave the coaching job in Bayern two years before the contract would expire in 2023.

Girl is speculated to take over Germany after the European Championships

However, the transition is said to have cost a lot.

According to the German football magazine Kicker, Leipzig has demanded just over SEK 250 million to release Nagelsmann.

It is one of the most expensive coaching transfers of all time.

Bayern's outgoing coach Flick is the hottest candidate to take over the German national team after this summer's European Championship finals, which will be led by Joachim Löw.

Flick, 56, was Löw's assistant on the national team between 2006 and 2014.

Swedish national team midfielder Emil Forsberg's future in Leipzig is also uncertain. He has one season left on his contract, but has previously said that he does not want to enter the next game year without an extension.
