He added: “The 16 participating teams will be divided into four pots in the group stage, based on the latest international classification from FIFA before this draw, so that the first bowl is allocated to the three highest-ranked teams in addition to the host country, Qatar, and the second bowl is allocated to the four teams that follow them. In the classification, the same distribution will be repeated on the third and fourth pots, and the next seven teams from the qualifying rounds will be placed in the seven less-ranked positions, where the teams that win the first, second and third qualifying matches will be placed in the 2, 3 and 4 positions inside Pot No. The remaining four finalists are in Pot No. 4, respectively. ”


The statement explained: “The tournament will start with the qualifying rounds that will bring together the 14 lowest-ranked teams in the global rankings, with seven playoff matches (one for each team), so that the seven winners in these matches will qualify for the final competition with the nine highest-ranked teams in the global rankings, including the national team Host country ».


The statement concluded: “The final competition will be from the group stage and the knockout phase, and competition will take place in the group stage between 16 teams divided into four groups, each consisting of four teams, and the first and second teams from each group will qualify for the knockout stage in the quarter-final rounds, And the semi-final, the third-place match and the final match of the championship.
